How to get to Pondicherry?

Pondicherry is located in southeastern India and can be reached by air, train, or car. To get to Pondicherry by air, you will need to fly into Chennai International Airport. From there you can take a taxi or bus onward to Pondicherry. If traveling by train, the closest railway station is Villupuram Junction where you can then hop on a local bus or taxi to reach your destination. Lastly, if driving yourself it’s just over 200km from Chennai and the journey should take around 4 hours depending on traffic conditions.
